About Monroe the Bar Hopping Dog | Canine Pawtist

Hello - Meet Monroe the Bar Hopping Dog!

Imagine if you will, a bar run by Picasso, Rembrandt, Dali, Charles Schultz and Hemingway that catered to the canine community.

Now take that a bit further, and consider a reincarnated belligerent cat that came back as a poodle corgi mix that likes to draw on napkins and coasters that once held his cocktails of choice. That dog would be Monroe the Bar Hopping Dog.

Monroe was rescued from Emerald City Pet Rescue in 2017.  We say rescued because the owners, while lovely people refused to serve him bourbon instead of water and he found the cocktail prices in SODO a bit too steep for him, considering he has no pockets to hold any cash.

Frankly, Monroe is a deadbeat Pawtist that hopes to earn enough to ensure a good buzz every night, but stay sober enough to call his parents, Alex and Wendy for a no questions ride home.

Over the years he’s had several furry family members and friends that have inspired his art and is always looking for his next discovery.
